This month’s expert is celebrity makeup artist Johny Saade. Johny has worked with stars such as Brook Shields, Mick Jagger, Rob Lowe, Emily Blunt,LeAnn Rimes and Debbie Gibson (to name a few!) His work has been published prestigious magazines such as Elle, Vogue and InStyle.[hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Kari J. on Facebook: What tricks do you use to get rid of dark skin spots and circles under the eyes? [/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]For dark spots there are alot of over the counter products that help lighten them. It’s also a good thing is to use sunscreen all the time because the sun makes those spots darker. Eye treatments work, but if it’s a hereditary thing, your best bet is makeup: a good concealer helps, usually one with a peach under tone (to cancel out the color of the circles.)[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Natalie S. on Twitter: How do you keep your foundation in place all day? Mine seems to transfer onto my cell phone, leaving half of my face bare! Yuck![/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]A good primer helps with that and make sure to set you foundation with a translucent powder.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Vicki M. on Facebook: Are colored mascaras in or so 1985?[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]You know, that’s a preference question …I mean, it is kinda dated but cosmetic companies are still coming out with colored mascara so there must be a demand for them. I know of one that just came out with and its very nice because it is very subtle so you get a hint of the blue.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Mary M.and Ashley T. on Facebook: How do you get your eye makeup to last all day without creasing or smearing? (Especially eye liner!)[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]I have gone through alot of eyeliner and I truly love the gel liners because once they set, they dont budge. If you use a regular kohl liner you need to set it with powder (or eye shadow) of the same color.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Jennifer at RAL: Do you think there is a lip color that is universally flattering for all ages and skin tones?[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]NO. Unless it’s clear…lol.. Different skin tones require different lip colors unfortunately.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one] Q: From countless customers: How do you know if your skin is cool or warm toned?[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]Look in the mirror. If you see that you have more of a pink tone to your skin then you are a cool tone. If you have more of yellow or olive tone, you are warm toned.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Amy on Twitter: What is one “makeup sin” that you see women make quite often? How do you fix it?[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]BLEND BLEND BLEND from eyeshadow to foundations. That is so important in having a successful make up. Blend your foundation down your neck dont leave a line of demarcation and blend your eyeshadows so that there are no hard lines.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q: From Christine on Facebook: How do you get that “dewy, fresh-faced” look?[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]Liquid or tinted foundation works the best for that and just powder the t-zone (above your brows and to the bridge of your nose) and around the eyes and mouth and dont powder the rest. Instant Dewy skin.[/twocol_one_last][hr]

[twocol_one]Q:What do you HAVE to have to have in your makeup bag?[/twocol_one] [twocol_one_last]There are many things I love, but the basics are good brushes, a blending sponge, foundations, eyeshadows, lipsticks, mascara.[/twocol_one_last][hr]
